About

10+ years of expertise in all skin types.

Most clinics are built around treating one type of skin well, and hoping everyone else responds the same way to the same settings. At Blueness, we do the opposite. Every treatment we offer, from laser to microneedling to peels, is adjusted to your specific skin type, pigmentation risk, and concern, rather than delivered as a one-size-fits-all protocol. We treat hyperpigmentation, melasma, sun spots, acne scarring, stretch marks, and dull or uneven skin texture, across every Fitzpatrick skin type, from I to VI. Every treatment plan begins with a proper consultation and, where needed, a patch test, so nothing is assumed about your skin before we start.

Pico Laser

Pico Laser is one of our most versatile treatments, used across all skin types to treat hyperpigmentation, melasma, sun spots, and both acne scarring and pitted acne scarring, on both face and body. It works using ultra-short picosecond pulses of energy that break down pigment and stimulate collagen with minimal heat, which is part of why it can be used safely across a wide range of skin tones when the settings are right.

We use two different Pico systems in clinic, chosen depending on your skin and consultation results. The PicoStar is a German medical-grade laser with advanced handpieces, including Flat-Top, MicroSpot and Zoom ST modes, which let us fine-tune treatment more precisely for pigmentation, freckles, sun spots, post-inflammatory pigmentation, tone, texture, and selected tattoo pigment. The IDS Pico Laser is a Korean system that also uses the same core wavelengths and is effective for more standard Pico treatments where that level of precision customisation isn't required.

Erbium YAG Laser

Erbium YAG, sometimes called Cool Laser, is a resurfacing treatment used across all skin types to treat hyperpigmentation, skin texture, mild stretch marks, and dull skin. It works by removing very thin, controlled layers of damaged skin while stimulating renewal and collagen remodelling underneath.

What makes Erbium particularly useful for pigmentation-prone skin is that it's more attracted to water in the skin than other resurfacing lasers, meaning it removes those thin layers with far less heat spreading into surrounding tissue. Less heat generally means a lower risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation and a shorter recovery time, which is why we often reach for Erbium first on skin types where a more aggressive laser would carry unnecessary risk. Treatment intensity can be adjusted from a light resurfacing peel to a deeper treatment depending on your skin condition and how much downtime you're able to take.

CO2 Laser

CO2 Laser is best suited to Fitzpatrick types I to IV, and treats hyperpigmentation, skin texture, deep acne scars, wrinkles, stretch marks, and full skin rejuvenation. Where Erbium works gently and precisely, CO2 goes deeper into the skin and generates more heat, which produces stronger collagen stimulation and tightening, making it a better option for more severe scarring, deeper wrinkles, and more significant texture concerns.

That extra depth and heat comes with a trade-off, longer downtime and a higher risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation, which is why we reserve it for skin types where that risk is lower, and why every CO2 treatment plan is built around your specific skin and recovery capacity rather than applied as a default option.

Microneedling with PDRN

Microneedling uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin's surface, triggering the body's natural collagen and elastin production as it heals. We combine this with PDRN, a regenerative ingredient increasingly used in skin treatments for its ability to support tissue repair, improve hydration, and enhance overall skin tone and elasticity. Together, this combination is used to improve overall skin quality, texture, and radiance, often as a complementary treatment alongside laser work or as a standalone option for those wanting more gradual, cumulative improvement.

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy involves a series of very fine micro-injections that deliver vitamins, antioxidants, and other skin-boosting ingredients directly into the mid-layers of the skin. Rather than working on the surface, this allows active ingredients to reach the skin more directly, commonly used to improve hydration, brightness, and overall skin condition, particularly for skin that's looking dull or depleted.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)

IPL uses broad-spectrum light, rather than a single laser wavelength, to target sun damage, redness, and areas of pigmentation across the skin. It's typically used over a course of sessions to gradually even out skin tone and address surface-level pigmentation and vascular concerns.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels use active acids to carefully exfoliate away damaged surface skin, encouraging fresher, more even skin underneath. Peel strength and formulation are adjusted based on your specific skin type, sensitivity, and the concern being treated, since the wrong strength peel on the wrong skin type can do more harm than good, particularly for pigmentation-prone skin.

Cosmelan

Cosmelan is a professional depigmentation treatment used specifically for melasma and other stubborn, deep-set hyperpigmentation that hasn't responded well to other treatments. It combines an in-clinic application with a structured take-home skincare plan, working over several weeks to gradually fade pigment at a deeper level than most surface treatments can reach.
